I was born in the village more years ago than I will admit to, so I am one of the original villagers. I am now retired and living with two black cats. Over the years I have seen the village change and expand and welcome new people who love it as much as I do. I served the community as a Parish Councillor for over 30 years first on the old West Wycombe Rural Parish Council and after reorganisation the new Downley Parish Council.
I am not ready to become the cat lady yet so as I have always felt the need to help my community I decided to stand for the Parish Council again, you cannot keep an old councillor down! Parish Council are legal entities while the electors are the people who make the community what it is, so they deserve the best from their chosen councillors, so having now been elected I hope the experience I gained from working in Local Government and IT will help the Parish Council and the community in the 21st century.
