A proposal was presented to Downley Parish Council (DPC) in July 2018 to introduce a one-way system around Plomer Green Lane, Littleworth road & Commonside. DPC reviewed that proposal and felt it had merit and so formed the Traffic WG.

The Downley Jubilee Allotments have been operating for over 30 years and are a valuable community asset for residents' leisure time. The area is leased from the West Wycombe Estates to the parish council who, in turn leases the plots to residents of the parish.
There is an allotments committee which manages the day to day running, and the Council organises the tenancy agreements.

Downley Community Library was set up in 2004 under the umbrella of the Downley Old School Community Association.
We have an exceptional range of children's plus a full range of adult books, both fiction and non-fiction. In addition we have full broadband connection to the Internet with two computers available for use by the public for which there is no charge. Other items that may be of interest are a small stock of audio tapes and jigsaws. We also run a 'Story Time' for the Mothers & Toddlers group on Monday mornings.
