The Downley Jubilee Allotments have been operating for over 30 years and are a valuable community asset for residents' leisure time. The area is leased from the West Wycombe Estates to the parish council who, in turn leases the plots to residents of the parish.
There is an allotments committee which manages the day to day running, and the Council organises the tenancy agreements.
The allotments are located at Mannings Field, Downley Common on the same site as the cricket nets and the 2 football pitches.
There are 52 plots each about 40 sq metres in size and rents are, at present, £25 per annum. The plots were originally double this size, but it has become the policy of the Parish Council to let in half plots in order to shorten the waiting list more quickly.
The main pathways between plots are cut through the year by contractors.
Newsletters are produced on an irregular basis to keep all plot holders informed of changes and developments. The most recent can be found listed here.
