Councillor: Richard S M Bowden
I was born, brought up and educated in Edinburgh. About 25 years ago I came down to England, met and married my wife Valerie. After living in Windsor for 5 years, I moved into High Wycombe and now live in Downley. I have two stepdaughters and two lovely grandchildren.
After graduating from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, I started my life as an electrical engineer in the power industry. I soon moved into the world of computing (before it was called IT) where I have performed most roles.
During my life, I have been involved in a couple of country-wide computer user groups as a council member, chairman and newsletter editor. I was also involved with the running of the Windsor Arts Centre and managing a number of family history related projects.
I am now happily retired. My present interests include video editing, family history, weaving, and helping my wife on our allotment.
