Councillor: Vaibhav Naik
My name is Vaibhav Naik (Vaib) and I have been living in the Wycombe area for over 6 years now. Prior to that, I have lived in Langley (Berkshire) and Cambridge since moving to the UK in 2009 for work. I was born and I grew up in India where I did my schooling and University.
Then I moved to USA for my Masters Degree and worked in the USA for 5 years.
I am a Data Architect and work in financial and utilities sectors implementing their multi-channel marketing campaigns and overall Digital Transformation projects.
My motivation to join the Downley Parish Council came off the back of my active involvement as a Street Representative on the Downley Covid19 Action Group (DCAG). I have thoroughly enjoyed doing my bit for my street and the wider community in the crisis times and I am proud to be a part of a village/community where everyone cares and does so much for each other. On family front, we are a small family of 3. My wife works at the Disraeli School and my son goes to Hughenden Primary School. Personally, I enjoy running (you will see me often around the Common) and watching football and cricket.
